Joerg-M. Lenz - Manager PR and Marketing - receives the innovation award of the DMS show for SignPad

SOFTPRO is proud to announce that its new "SignPad" signature tablet has received the “Innovation Award” at this year’s international "DMS", Europe’s leading trade show for document and enterprise content management hosted by the Koelnmesse. All registered visitors of the event were provided the opportunity to select their favorite innovation among 14 nominees. The trade show organizer reported a very active participation at the election for the award in 2007. "SignPad" is enables the capture of characteristics of handwritten signatures in a trustworthy manner – capturing both the static image, and dynamic (biometric) signals of a person’s signature. The device is a Japanese-German joint development of the companies Wacom and Softpro.

Visitors of the show were extremely impresed by the extraordinary quality of the signing tablet. The display of tablet was described by participants as "sharp, fast and very accurate". Softpro’s popular "SignDoc" software solutions for paperless e-signing are seamlessly integrated with the new SignPad to provide a unique and innovative complete e-signing solution.

Although the tablet will not officially be released to the market before the end of the year, thousands of devices have already been sold to financial institutions in Germany alone. "We are really eager to see these tablets replacing the compromise solutions that we currently have in place", said one representative of one of the largest German savings banks recently.

Other winners of the 2007 DMS innovation award are T-Systems Enterprise Service GmbH with an enterprise search solution and PDF Tools AG with a tool to convert portable document files (PDF)in to the format PDF/A. The option to vote for an award at this show was started in 2006.

The 2007 "DMS" show had a record attendance, attracting more than 20.000 visitors. 385 exhibitors displayed their solutions in hall 8 alone. Softpro demonstrated the SignPad to overwhelming resonance at the "Voice of Information"(VOI) booth, a platform of the association for organization and information systems.

The SignPad will also be demonstrated at the Systems in Munich (October 23 to 26) at the TeleTrust booth (hall B3, stand 123) in the IT-Security area. Softpro will also showcase the SignPad at three upcoming shows of BAI in the US between October 2007 and February 2008: In San Diego at "BAI Combatting Payments and Check Fraud Conference" (booth 110) on October 23 and 24, in Las Vegas at "BAI Retail Delivery Show" (booth 1269) from November 13 to 15 and in Dallas at "BAI Transpay" from February 5 to 7.
