Press release from: Infotecs GmbH

Berlin, January, 13th 2015 – Infotecs GmbH, a supplier of secure encryption solutions, is pleased to announce its new distributor in Finland FSM Group. In its homeland, FSM Group is a leading wholesaler of safety engineering solutions specialized in IP video systems.

Infotecs forms a new international partnerships and from now on cooperates with the Finnish distributor FSM Group, the leading wholesaler in the field of safety engineering with headquarters in Vantaa near Helsinki. FSM Group offers its customers a comprehensive range of products starting with security systems such as alarm systems or surveillance cameras and ending with solutions for protection against fire. Being one of the leaders in the field of IP video systems, FSM Group has a market share of 45 % in Finland.

Information protection and IT security is of crucial importance for the whole monitoring infrastructure. IP cameras are a popular target of hacker attacks because by gaining access and exploiting a camera the attacker may get the view of the monitored area or even manipulate and substitute the video signal. To meet high security requirements, such sensitive data must be encrypted.

By offering the ViPNet VPN encryption solution developed by Infotecs, the Finnish distributor FSM Group provides its customers and sales partners a reliable and secure technology to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks. Thanks to ViPNet software, a secure and tamper-resistant channel is established between IP cameras and the monitoring center. Partners of FSM Group, such as deployment specialists and system integrators can now implement their video surveillance technology over the Internet at any time and in any place in a way that does not compromise the security of the whole monitoring infrastructure.

Harri af Hällström, CEO at FSM Group, is satisfied with the cooperation: “With Infotecs we have gained a new partner, whose high-security solution provides us with a high level of flexibility so that we can cover the diverse needs of our customers regarding the security infrastructure.”

Sergej Torgow, COO at Infotecs GmbH, adds: “Thanks to our partnership with FSM Group, we will expand our sales area to Scandinavia. FSM Group, the distributor of safety engineering products specializing in video surveillance, is going to offer the whole range of our security solutions to its clients. We are looking forward to our successful cooperation.”
