Gerhard Höberth / Ingrid Kamerbeek and 22 Webists from all over the world exhibit in Wasserburg am Inn/Germany...

Gerhard Höberth, artist, author and Webist from Wasserburg am Inn/Germany is a member of the "Webism Group of Worldwide Artists" with its headquarter located in Sonthofen, Bavaria/Germany as well as member of the board of directors of renown Wasserburg art society "AK68". Höberth born in Vienna/Austria is the initiator and curator of the international Digital Fine Art exhibition "Gerhard Höberth & Webism - a Global Movement". Opening reception will take place on October 27th, 2007, 6 pm CET in the gallery of historical "Ganserhaus" (15th/16th century). Webism Group founder Ingrid Kamerbeek from Sonthofen/Germany is in charge with project coordination. 10 artists of the "Webism Group of Worldwide Artists" will be personally present:

Kamerbeek will present two of her latest huge abstract works on canvas as well as two limited edition pigment prints themed "Global Consciousness". Also on show a very personal piece from Kamerbeek which includes hair from the artist when she was 13 in 1965! This artwork symbolizes the development of Kamerbeek from her 13th birthday till today.

The artists of the "Webism Group of Worldwide Artists" are especially happy to have with them at the opening reception eve the Iranian artist and Webist Habib Aghamohammadi from Tabriz. They look at it as a symbol stating that art can bring together people from all over the world without any borders of any kind even or may be especially in times of political turmoil. Webism - art connecting the world! is the slogan of this worldwide active group of artists working in any media from traditional to new media.

The most nenown participating artist is Professor Dr. Herbert W. Franke who is one of the most acknowledged universalists of our times. Franke born in Vienna in 1927 who celebrated his 80th birthday on May 14th, 2007 is not only a scientist and author but moreover an artist and karst and bats researcher. Shortly he was honored by the Austrian Cultural Ministerium with the 1st class honour cross for Science and Culture along with many more awards coming in from all over the world. The "Webism Group of Worldwide Artists" is a group of 64 artists from all over the world working in any media (traditional to new media). The group was founded in November 2003 by American artist Dr. Rodney Chang (Pygoya) and German artist Ingrid Kamerbeek after their first real life European Art Tour. Chang and Kamerbeek want to overcome borders of any kind in the heads of human beings and do believe ART CAN CHANGE THE WORLD. Their slogan: "Webism - art connecting the world". Ingrid Kamerbeek is acting as group coordinator and Webism promotor on a voluntary basis.
