MXAM DRIVE: New Version 3.2 of the Tool for Static Model Analysis

Berlin, November 06, 2014 – The new version 3.2 of MES Model Examiner® DRIVE (MXAM) is now available. The market-leading checking tool for modeling guidelines has been enhanced with multiple new functions by MES’s team of developers in Berlin, who also carried out maintenance of the product.

Multi-platform – MXAM 3.2 now with ASCET 6.2.1. adaptor
Thanks to the flexible adaptor layer of the MES Model Examiner® (MXAM), other formats such as ASCET models or Excel tables can now be checked alongside Simulink, Stateflow, and TargetLink software models. The adaptor for ASCET 6.2.1 is a new addition to the latest version 3.2 of MXAM DRIVE. The ASCET adaptor can import ASCET classes and state machines, and execute and rewrite automatic corrections to the model. Furthermore, automatic correction of detected guideline violations is supported.

Improved creation of project-specific guidelines and checks
As our users often test different software models with varying profiles, we have further developed the option to configure individual checks and verification projects. Verification profiles can now be easily copied and modified by saving the documents, guidelines, and checks under a new name. The new “Save As” function allows individualized variations of guidelines and checks to be generated easily.

Clear presentation of the project configuration for verification of the report
MXAM 3.2 provides a comprehensive display of all settings defined by the user for each project. This documentation of the project configuration is extremely helpful in fulfilling ISO 26262’s strict documentation requirements.

Automation of quality assurance further developed
The potential for process automation with MES Model Examiner® DRIVE has increased. With the new Headless function, it is possible for the software to operate independently without input from the user interface. Therefore tests can be run automatically and reports created without any intervention from the user.

Even more improvements
++ Improved Library Wizards ++ Parallel application of MXAM and other MES Tools in one MATLAB session now possible ++ Improved display of check results in the report ++ Allocation and archiving of guideline documents made simple using Word and PDF Export ++
