CM LOC®- a new benchmark in prosthetics.

09-26-2014 08:13 PM CET | Health & Medicine

Press release from: Cendres+Métaux SA

The Swiss company Cendres+Métaux SA is setting a new standard in the field of prosthetics in the form of CM LOC®. An optimised female part design with high-quality retention inserts provides maximum wearing comfort for patients. The system is extremely easy to handle and combines top quality materials with fantastic durability:
The concept behind the CM LOC® anchoring system consists of a metal-free or a titanium female part. Pekkton® ivory, a high-quality polymer, is used for the metal-free version. This tried-and-tested high-tech material was originally developed for the aviation industry to fulfil extremely high demands with regard to resilience.

A titanium female part with an activatable gold retention insert can be used for an extra strong hold (or for highly stressed male parts). Dentists and dental technicians use an uncomplicated abutment for CM LOC® – there is no central retention hole. For the patient, this means an improved level of hygiene as it is easier to clean the implants and enhanced wearing comfort.

The modular CM LOC® system ensures highly precise and permanent retention. For divergent implant positions, CM LOC® enables the incorporation of dentures with implants angled by up to 20 degrees. This means that divergences between two implants of up to 40 degrees can be corrected.

CM LOC® improves clinical application while providing better durability and sets a new benchmark in denture quality. CM LOC® is produced in Switzerland. The attractive price-performance ratio means that the system can be used unreservedly on a day-to-day basis in the field of prosthetic dentistry, benefitting both patients and dentists.

Founded in 1885, Cendres+Métaux is active in the fields of dentistry, medical, jewellery, watches and refining. The Swiss company with decades of expertise in milling and the production of micro-mechanical parts has subsidiaries in Italy, France, the United Kingdom and South Korea and over 430 qualified employees.
