Kaiser Scherer & Schlegel joins Russell Bedford US network

International accounting group Russell Bedford has extended its presence in the United States with the addition of a new Washington DC member firm - Kaiser Scherer & Schlegel, PLLC - based in McLean, Virginia.

Established 35 years ago, Kaiser Scherer & Schlegel (KSS) is a full-service CPA firm with eight principals, including three equity partners: Elizabeth Kaiser, Ned Scherer and Jeff Schlegel. Many of the firm's principals and staff were formerly employees of Big Four firms.

KSS has a broad client base ranging from individuals to privately-held businesses. The firm provides a full range of services including accounting, payroll and tax compliance, domestic and international tax planning, and audits, reviews and compilations. KSS is registered with the PCAOB and has a dedicated specialist team performing broker-dealer audits.

Bill Rucci, vice-chairman of Russell Bedford International and co-director of the network’s North American Tax Services Group commented: “The growth of our presence throughout the United States has been built on the addition of market-leading independent firms in the country’s key business locations. Kaiser Scherer & Schlegel’s preeminent professional reputation, and their wide-ranging service offerings coupled with specialist niche practices, makes them an ideal fit for our growth strategy.”

KSS partner Jeff Schlegel added: “We are delighted to be joining a global CPA firm network and, more importantly, one with the market presence we need in order to offer our clients a combination of international business expertise, worldwide resources and local knowledge.”

Established in 1983, Russell Bedford International is a global network of independent firms of accountants, auditors, tax advisers and business consultants. Ranked amongst the world’s leading accounting and audit networks, Russell Bedford is represented by some 600 partners, 5000 staff and 290 offices in more than 100 countries in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. Russell Bedford International is a member of the IFAC Forum of Firms - an association of international audit networks, whose goal is to promote consistent and high quality standards of financial reporting and auditing practices worldwide.
