AWARD WINNING CHINESE FILM TO BE SCREENED THIS MONTH
This screening event is presented by STArt Film Studio, a non-profit film studio founded by Seattle local film enthusiasts, partnering with Icarus Films, a leading distributor of independent films in North America since 1978.
In "A New Old Play," as portrayed in The New Yorker, the Chinese director Qiu Jiongjiong daringly and imaginatively dramatizes twentieth-century Chinese political history-despite ongoing censorship in China-through the epoch-spanning story of a small theatre company.
