Top Industry Experts and Practitioners to Analyze Mine Water Management Strategies in Lima

The 3rd LatAm Mine Water Conference commences in 4 weeks at the Radisson Decapolis Miraflores Hotel – Lima, gathering a mix of government officials, mining firms, solution providers and research institutions to share skills and latest strategies to curb water degradation that results from the mining process.

Juan Carlos Sevilla Gildemeister, Head of National Water Authority, Peru (Autoridad National Del Agua) will start off the summit with his keynote. Gildemeister will be joined by other notable officials from Direccion General Del Aguas, and Ministry of Energy and Mines to provide insights on the latest water regulations in Chile and Peru.

The agenda for the 2 day conference features keynotes, panels, break out sessions, case studies, and networking to present real solutions to address the increasing water stress in the region. Mining companies Newmont, Southern Peru Copper Corp, SAMARCO, Grupo Mexico, Hudbay Minerals, and Cerro Vanguardia will share first hand experiences and lessons learnt in the fields of integrated water management, solid liquid separation techniques, technologies to reduce water usage and other sustainable practices to manage water.
