FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, BERLIN, FEBRUARY 2023 - Fastic GmbH, a holistic health platform and tech company, announced the use of empathetic artificial intelligence (AI) within its Fastic smartphone app to improve and individualize user guidance, experience and success. The app is centred around the idea of intermittent fasting as a proven method to achieve a multitude of health benefits such as maintaining a healthy body weight, mindfulness, better sleep, improving insulin levels and a strong immune system. It supports users as the go-to partner in leading a healthy and happy life.

In an interview with Dr. Denis Jung, Fastic CEO Florian Braunschweig discussed how AI will revolutionize the way users approach intermittent fasting in 2023 through the company's mobile app. Braunschweig highlighted the importance of providing a personalized journey tailored to individual needs, including five pillars of balanced nutrition, movement, quality sleep, mindfulness and human connection. AI will be a critical component of this experience, providing personalized and timely reminders, guidance, and assistance tailored to each individual's needs, challenges and lifestyle.

According to Braunschweig with AI "...individualization is now much easier to achieve and fits perfectly with Fastic's long-term strategy. Overall, I think AI can provide users with a much more rewarding experience, as it can customize its solutions to the individual needs of each user. It can also make the experience more interactive and engaging for users, giving them more control over their experience and allowing them to make better decisions about their health and wellness."

Fastic is currently testing new AI dialog features with a small user group, with very positive feedback thus far. The company plans to make this product available to the world soon and is confident that it will have a great impact.

Asked about the origin of the AI algorithms used in the Fastic app, Braunschweig stated that "...our strategy is to first use out of the box solutions like OpenAI to get a better understanding of the customer experience, what works well and what areas we could improve on. This gives us a great starting point to then develop our own proprietary AI algorithms, tailored to our customers' needs and requirements."

Furthermore, Braunschweig emphasized that Fastic takes the responsibility of providing accurate information very seriously, and is taking a number of measures to ensure that the information provided by AI is of a high standard. AI and a board of human health experts work hand in hand. While it is the job of the AI to understand what the user is looking for and to provide the right information in a convenient and comprehensive way, human experts make sure that information is accurate and reliable. He also states that the app does not provide information that is health critical and users are informed to go see a doctor for this kind of information.

With AI, Fastic is revolutionizing the way people approach intermittent fasting and a balanced and healthy lifestyle, making it easier than ever to stick to their healthy habits, discover relevant information and ultimately live healthier lives.
