Press release from: WiMAX Forum

Pre-conference event designed for operators to share best practices for profitable 4G networks

CLACKAMAS, OR – June 18, 2014 – The WiMAX Forum® announced its upcoming annual WiMAX Africa 2014 event, a pre-conference session being held in on November 10th at the Cape Town Doubletree Hotel. The full-day session will focus specifically on supporting the African operator community in the deployment of cost-effective 4G WiMAX networks.

WiMAX Africa 2014 will present an opportunity for all participants to meet, exchange ideas, and develop business and cooperative relationships. Both operators and vendors will benefit from roundtable discussions on topics including the WiMAX Advanced roadmap – supporting multi-platform deployments for both WiMAX and LTE – and emerging markets such as Aviation, Utilities, and Oil & Gas.

Said WiMAX Forum President and CEO, Declan Byrne, “In a unique telecom environment, the WiMAX community faces a host of challenges. WiMAX Africa 2014 will give all of its attendees a better understanding of where the industry is headed and how operators can thrive in the face of change.”
