VNC contributes to the Plone Community and releases the VNCportal with Zimbra and Redmine Integration

The VNCportal is built to be the center of corporate communication, collaboration and information sharing. The VNCportal has unique functionalities comprising document and content management, intranet, complex access rights management, intuitive content creation as well as search features.

The VNCportal powered by Plone has an intuitive GUI, easy „Add Content“ functionalities and integrates seamlessly with the other VNC commercial open source solutions like VNCmail (based upon the world-class groupware Zimbra) and VNCproject (based upon the helpdesk and ticketing system Redmine).

Another exclusive feature of the VNCportal is the VNCcast, which looks similar to well-known social media tools, but of course all information is stored securely in your environment thus in your private cloud infrastructure. VNCcast is the tool where the core of your community management takes place and where community members may create discussion topics, share ideas and like / rate / comment on any content posted in or uploaded to the VNCportal. VNCcast is available as commercial open source add-on for a reasonable subscription fee.The VNCportal Zimbra Integration will allow you to add Zimbra as a Portlet to your Plone site, where you can access your mail folder. The second part of the integration is your calendar and the ability to create Zimbra tasks related to any Plone object.

The VNCportal Redmine Integration will allow you to add Redmine as a Portlet. You can stay on top of the latest tickets related to any Redmine project from your Plone dashboard. Users can also create tickets from content found in their Plone site and assign this ticket to any project within Redmine.
