Dirk Unterstenhöfer, new COO at Schirm
“We’ve created the position of Chief Operating Officer at Schirm in order to be able to cope with our customers’ growing demands in future too. We’re also taking into account the high level of strategic importance that this business area has at LEHNKERING. At the same time, we’re creating the organisational conditions for further growth and a greater degree of internationalisation,” says Uwe Wilhaus, CEO of LEHNKERING GmbH; he is also a member of the IMPERIAL Logistics International B.V. & Co. KG management board.
Dr. Bernd Müller, who is COO at LEHNKERING GmbH and CEO of Schirm GmbH, adds, “Schirm GmbH already has a very good position in the market. Strengthening the management team in the operating area is now an important step so that we can consistently and successfully continue on the path that we’ve embarked on – and focus on our customers.”
Dirk Unterstenhöfer will be responsible for the operating business at all the Schirm GmbH business locations. The production services company operates facilities at Schönebeck (Saxony-Anhalt), Baar-Ebenhausen near Ingolstadt (Bavaria), Lübeck (Schleswig-Holstein) and has a business location at Wolfenbüttel (Lower Saxony), which it jointly uses with the LEHNKERING Distribution Logistics division. The company also has a business centre in the United States – Schirm USA, Inc., based in Ennis/Texas.
Dirk Unterstenhöfer has had many years of professional experience in the field of chemical production. Before joining the Stähler Group, now known as Cheminova, in 2006, he spent ten years at Schirm GmbH working in various positions, most recently as the head of the Lübeck business location.
