Laser Red responds to continued demand with investment in people

Laser Red, the Lincolnshire-based creative marketing agency and digital specialist, has seen unprecedented levels of growth in 2022, which has resulted in it significantly investing in its team of experts.

There was a surge in requests for online business solutions during 2020 and '21 driven by the pandemic as resourceful UK businesses found innovative ways to keep trading. But while some businesses have seen a drop off in leads since restrictions ended, Laser Red has seen new business continue to grow.

Such strong growth has led to expansion for the Grimsby headquartered business, which in September announced it was opening new offices in Lincoln. In the past six months alone, Laser Red increased its headcount by a third, bringing in ten new members of its team across a range of disciplines.

Its appointment of four new front and back-end developers means the digital expert now has the increased capacity to handle developments of all shapes and sizes for its growing global client-base.

Meanwhile the appointments of a new project manager, designer, PPC marketing executive and an administrator has added considerably to the capability of the team to offer a range of creative and marketing solutions to clients from a broad range of industries.

Furthermore, the business also added a new accountant to its finance team in the second half of the year, followed in the autumn with the appointment of a head of PR & comms - a first for the agency - and a PR & comms arm of Laser Red was subsequently launched.

"We ended 2021 strongly and wanted to hit the ground running in 2022, which we achieved with some great business wins," said Laser Red MD Liam O'Leary. "We saw a huge uplift in enquiries in 2022 and it quickly became clear to me and the management team that we needed to invest in the team to ensure we could sustain our forward momentum."

The investment in its team signals Laser Red's ambitious growth plans for its business portfolio. The award-winning agency can now offer a range of services, from marketing, web design and branding, to mobile app and ecommerce platform development. The addition of a PR and communications offering means Laser Red can now fulfil all of its clients needs with a full range of complimentary services.

In the past year the agency has organised multiple social events for colleagues, including a team holiday, has increased pension contributions and given a special cost of living pay award of £1,200 to all staff to help them deal with the current economic climate.
