Azo(bis)formamide, also known as azodicarbonamide, is a chemical compound primarily used in plastic manufacturing industries. It has a molecular formula of  C2H4N4O2. It is insoluble in water and has a solubility in dimethyl sulfoxide. It has a molecular weight of 116.08 U.
Azo(bis)formamide occurs in the form of either crystal or powder. When in powder form, it is yellow in colour and red-orange when in crystal form. It is produced by the replacement of two hydrogen atoms of diazene. The Hydrocarbyl group takes the place of two replaced hydrogen atoms to form Azo(bis)formamide.
