ViPNet VPN as the Encryption Solution for IP Video Surveillance
• BKVideo is known as an experienced system house in the area of video technology
• BKVideo is now an authorized reseller of the ViPNet VPN solution developed by Infotecs
Berlin, Germany, January 20, 2014 – Infotecs GmbH, a global provider of IT-security solutions, announced that it has signed a distribution contract with BKVideo, the video technology distributor. BKVideo has added the ViPNet VPN encryption solution to its product range at once. This agreement allows BKVideo to offer secure data transmission between IP video systems and surveillance applications.
In December 2013, Infotecs GmbH, IT security company, started working together with the video technology distributor Burgenkönig Video GmbH (BKVideo). BKVideo is known as an experienced system house in the area of video technology and sells complete video solutions in Germany, Europe, and throughout the world. BKVideo has demonstrated that data protection is of the highest priority in their network-based IP video systems by adding at once the ViPNet VPN solution developed by Infotecs to its product range.
With ViPNet VPN, direct end-to-end connections can be established between two or more network nodes: this enables secure and encrypted data transmission between IP-video cameras and surveillance applications, and effectively and completely precludes attacks, such as a Man-in-the-Middle attack which is a standard method of illegal take-over of the video surveillance control. Encryption of communications channels eliminates data theft, i.e. industrial espionage. With the VPN solution by Infotecs, fitters, system integrators, and companies can access their video surveillance systems via the Internet at any time and from anywhere, and reach public addresses without putting the security of the complete surveillance infrastructure in jeopardy. The complete video solutions from the BKVideo product line are used by end customers in a wide variety of industries, from branches and shops to implementation in industry and logistics, and extending to video surveillance of public areas and facilities.
“Due to the flexible implementation possibilities of the ViPNet VPN encryption solution, it is easy to monitor construction sites or equipment at remote production locations,” comments Peter Silbernagel, CEO of Burgenkönig Video GmbH, on the decision to collaborate with Infotecs and distribute ViPNet VPN. “For branch monitoring, in addition to traditional surveillance tasks, surveillance of suppliers, as well as surveillance of marketing measures at POS (Point of Sale) can be implemented. Thanks to the high-security solution developed by Infotecs, we are in compliance with the applicable data privacy directives.”
ViPNet VPN enables access to data at any location and at any time, without security and connectivity restrictions. The certified ViPNet technology differs from classic VPN solutions through a symmetric key management system developed by Infotecs and through the possibility of establishing direct point-to-point connections between two or more hosts. In this regard, an industrial PC, smartphone, tablet PC or an IP-based video camera may be the end point.
Burgenkönig Video GmbH has been one of the remarkably advanced distributors in the area of video technology for 12 years. Thanks to an extensive product line with a wide variety of video technology components, the enterprise covers most brands and delivers products in the entire German-speaking area, the rest of Europe, and worldwide. BKVideo is characterized by reliability, fast response, and competent consulting. Learn more at www.bkvideo.de.

VPN Loading Balancing
