Light Up Hope – ALT LED Light Donation Project

The orphanage provides a home for 2-18 year-olds, with currently 50 children in total. There is an assembly hall where all sorts of events are held for the children. Beginning in 2013, the orphanage started to offer after-class extra help and studies, however the traditional lights were not providing enough brightness. Therefore ALT offered brighter LED lights with lower wattage for the children of the orphanage; the ALT LED lights are better quality lighting that protects their eyes while reading and studying. ALTLED® BR40s were featured in Candlebark School, winner of the 2012 Australian Timber Design Awards.
Chung Yi Social Welfare Foundation
The Foundation provides a warm and caring home for 0-18 year old orphans. ALT provides a brighter and safer environment for them with non-toxic and environmentally-friendly LED lights. ALT provided the Foundation ALT’s four-time award-winning MR16s and energy-star certified A55s. These retrofit designs are safe, easy to install and convenient. Not only will ALT lights provide them a better lit environment, they will also help the Foundation save up to 90% of energy and reduce electricity cost.
Bethany Children’s Home
The Bethany Children’s Home is a home for 3-18 year olds. The superintendent of the Home was thrilled that ALT approached them with LED lights that provided warmer lighting. They wanted to create a more inviting and homelike environment. To achieve this, ALT provided them ALT’s award-winning BR30 with golden fins and warm white in color. When all the lights were installed and turned on, the whole room and area was lit with a warm and natural glow. It was nearing Christmas, and they said that ALT has provided them a very warm Christmas gift indeed.
ALT has taken a serious pledge to contributing towards a better and brighter future; donating lights is one of the actions ALT has taken towards this path. ALT will continue to donate quality LED lights to minority groups, starting from orphanages and homes. We invite you to join our forces, whether it be spreading non-toxic and energy-saving LED lights or donating materials to the disadvantaged groups of people, etc. It is each and every one of our responsibilities to work for a greener and kinder future.
