Doom, taking place from September 27th to 29th in Bari, Italy, is the first conference of its kind on international level, confronting technology, marketing and the consumer.

The initiative involving important multinational companies active in the sectors of the food industry, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, as, for example, Nestlé, that use carton as packaging material are confronting these topics with the consumer world by taking a closer look at converters, printers, graphic designer.

A three-day conference in which, brand owners, print buyers as well as printers will describe their needs to which the machine and material producing industries will need to have responses ready.

Technical problems and their solutions are the central argument of the debate, in which experts from important multinationals will be speaking about software, machines, inks, foil, glue, and also about marketing and company management solutions.
Amongst the well-known companies you can find Bobst SA, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, Henkel, Merck, m-real, SunChemical and the organisation PrintCity.

Designers, printers and converters will also be exhibiting and therewith will be able to demonstrate their true productive capability to an international audience.

Customer retention and attention towards the consumer are the other main topics of the event, under the prestigious patronage of the region of Puglia and the province of the city of Bari, as well as the Confindustria and their related associations.

A large number of requests from the various European countries continues coming in and, remarkably, you can find presentations about their state-of-the-art by most important solution producing companies within the field of printing and packaging.
Francois Chastellain (Nestlé Global Packaging Quality & Safety manager), from the group of print buyers, is amongst the speakers of international recognition.

The subject of Branding and its meaning towards packaging will be (re-)presented by Angelo Faravelli, president of the Italian division of the PDA – the Brand Design Association. And the conference day, especially dedicated to packaging will conclude with a round-table discussion, introduced and moderated by a leading member of the company Largo Consumo and will be open to all delegates and participants of the event.
