850+ traders to gather in Berlin to discuss future of energy landscape

The upcoming EMART Energy offers a legal training seminar and a high-level Legal Netting Summit especially for the German trading market, both presented by industry body EFET. This leading annual meeting place for the energy trading sector will gather more than 850 traders from 26-27 November in Berlin, Germany.

Legal training seminar
The legal training seminar will take place on 25 November, a day before EMART Energy kicks off, and offers traders an opportunity to understand all supporting EFET documentation to assist in negotiations and minimise risk exposure.

Known as the EFET workshop on Master Trading Agreements & the Expanded Universe of EFET Form Documentation – it is a full-day legal training seminar for those who negotiate contracts and document trades in the European energy markets.

The presenters of the workshop will be Brett Hillis, Partner and Nic Horsfield, Associate of Reed Smith.

The workshop is targeted at: energy trading lawyers, contract negotiators, back office personnel, contracts administration managers, risk and credit managers and all those who negotiate contracts and document trades in the European energy markets.

Legal Netting Summit
For participants who are active in the German market, EMART Energy also offers a Legal Netting Summit: Netting of Energy Transactions in Germany, presented by EFET Deutschland on 26 November with contributions from two Members of Parliament (CDU and SPD) and the Director of the Ministry of Justice.

This summit will cover the status quo for netting of energy trading transactions in Germany and the need for clarification in the future Insolvency Law Reforms. The session is held in German because of the excellent speaker line-up and the German focus.
