EASTON FASHION DESIGNER BARBIE COLÓN LAUNCHES FALL/WINTER COLLECTION AT SIGAL MUSEUM RUNWAY FASHION SHOW ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 "The Royal Gala" Black Tie Event Features Menswear Line, Former NFL Star & Designer Andre Williams
Local fashion designer Barbie Colon will debut her latest collection at the Sigal Museum in Easton.
An unprecedented event, the museum's first fashion show by an African American female designer, the runway will feature African fall and winter menswear designs. This is Barbie's fourth collection. Most recently, pieces from her previous collections have been featured at New York, Boston, Atlantic City, and Lehigh Valley fashion week events. In March, she was honored by Poconos Business News Magazine as an influential woman in business. In August, she was nominated for the InnaStar Luminous Trailblazer award at the InnaStar Premiere Event at Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, Pa, honoring local arts and entertainment leaders.
A self-taught designer who learned to sew in 2014, Barbie is the founder of Xplosive Creations Salon and Barbie Colón Designs, dedicated to creating beauty in the community through hair and fashion. Additionally, she is a nationally syndicated radio talk show personality, social media powerhouse, and graduate of Gibbs College and Allentown's Empire Beauty School.
"I could not be more excited to bring my 'Africa-Themed' vision to life and share this collection with the Lehigh Valley community," says Barbie. "I love how art brings people together and am thrilled to have the Sigal museum as a backdrop to debut my creations. Show guests are sure to enjoy high fashion and a truly entertaining event. I leave my heart on the runway each time!"
Another special part of Saturday's event will be the attendance of former NFL star, Parkland High School graduate, and guest designer Andre Williams of All Weather (AW) Selvedge denim. Williams will also serve as a runway model and sign autographs during the event. After completing his football career in 2020, he returned to the Lehigh Valley. In 2021, he opened a denim retail store at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley and plans on expanding AW this fall/winter season to include new classic 5-pocket style denim for ladies, denim tops, and graphic art collaborations with local artists.
Tickets for "The Royal Gala" runway fashion show are available for $60 regular admission and $75 VIP admission and include a buffet dinner; attire is black tie. Food and beverage vendors, retail vendors, and DJ entertainment will round out the affair.

The Sigal Museum is located at 342 Northampton St. Easton, PA 18042. Doors open at 5PM for VIP guests for a champagne cocktail hour; 6PM for general admission.

Barbie Colon's Journey
As the founder of Xplosive Creations Salon and Barbie Colon Designs, Barbie Colon is dedicated to creating beauty in the community through hair and fashion. Born in Newark, NJ, and now residing in Easton, PA, Barbie received her associates degree in Office Administration with a concentration in Business in 1999 from Gibbs College in Monclaire, NJ. In 2001 she received her cosmetology license from Empire Beauty school in Allentown, PA. Barbie's passion for using her artistic skills to facilitate community engagement grew in 2014 when she learned how to sew and became a self-taught designer. Barbie is also a nationally syndicated radio talk show personality and social media powerhouse. Follow her @barbiecolondesigns on all social media platforms.
