New worm gear transmissions and encoders expand the Bühler Motor solution matrix
Nuremberg, 25 October 2013 – With two new worm gear transmissions and two new encoders, Bühler Motor is expanding its flexible solution matrix of motors, transmissions, encoders and brakes.
The design of the new worm gear transmission equipped with brass gearwheels combines maximum resilience and reductions up to 50:1. The version with plastic gearwheels covers the reduction ranges of 10:1 to 15:1 and is particularly recommended as a cost-effective option. These gears in which the drive shaft is at right angles to the motor can be ideally combined with the brush-type 52 mm and 63 mm DC motors and also with the brushless 63 mm EC motor produced by Bühler Motor.
The two new Bühler encoders can also be perfectly combined with these drives. They are available as a high-resolution optical encoder with 2 channels and 100 signals per revolution or as a particularly robust 2-channel 2 cpr magnetic encoder which can also be used in particularly tough environmental conditions. With an additional cap, a protection class of IP 54 can be achieved.

The new gears and encoders will be introduced to the public for the first time at SPS and can be delivered at short notice.
