Premiers at the SPS IPC Drives 2013

Halver, 2 October 2013 – From 26 to 28 November, the leading Trade Fair for the Automation Industry again takes place in Nuremberg – the SPS IPC Drives. The German connector- and housing specialist ESCHA in Halle 6, Stand 320, once more, presents many interesting new developments. Among the highlights, the refined connector range ‘Food&Beverage‘ in Hygienic Design as well as the ‘Automation Line robotic‘ – a new product variant of the existing Automation Line, which is particularly adapted for robots applications due to its special cable quality. A new portfolio with shielded Y- and T-splitters is also introduced for the first time.

Food & Beverage HD

With Food&Beverage HD, ESCHA presents a tailor-made product line in Hygienic Design (HD) meeting all requirements of the Food- and Beverage industry. The development of the new connectivity components is based on years of experience ESCHA has already gained in this field with the Food&Beverage plus product series and was realized following the design requirements of the EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group). The especially smooth upper surfaces prevent the sticking of dirt and provide for residue-free cleaning.

Moreover, all Food&Beverage HD connection- and junction cables consist of FDA-conform materials: V4A-stainless steel for locking nuts and screws with inner vibration resistance as well as PP based overmold- and cable materials. These plastics are resistant to ECOLAB-certified cleaning detergents. All sealing- and optical properties of the connectors are maintained in the long-term. With protection classes IP67 and IP69K, HD-connectors also meet the high requirements of high-pressure- and steam-jet cleaning.

Since the market launch in November 2013, ESCHA will offer a comprehensive HD-connector range. From the beginning, the M8x1 and M12x1 connection- and junction cables will be already available in straight- or angled housing styles as well as female or male (respectively in 3- and 4-pole) versions. Furthermore, the LED- versions are also directly available.

Automation Line robotic

For robotic field applications, ESCHA presents a new variant of its successful Automation Line at the SPS IPC Drives. The Automation Line robotic is equipped with a cable quality (S7400) especially adapted for drag-chain applications and extremely torsion-resistant (up to 10 million cycles/+-360°) exclusively available from ESCHA. The products with the new cable quality are especially adapted for robots applications through the combination of good oil- and chemicals- and weld-sparks resistance.

Due to their orange-colored cable, the M8x1 and M12x1 Automation Line robotic connectors unobtrusively match the machine design of most robots. They are dust- and waterproof according to protection classes IP67 und IP69K.

Shielded Y- and T-Splitters

The new ESCHA shielded Y- and T-Splitters are also presented in Nuremberg for the first time. They are adapted for communication applications in the fields of Profibus and CANopen as well as for all applications requiring shielded splitter solutions.

The entire portfolio is based on the patented 2SSK-Technology developed by ESCHA. This technology provides for reliable and consistent 360°-shielding and contributes to the very compact connector structure.

Standard, Special, Tailor-made

In addition to the aforementioned fair premiers, ESCHA also shows its comprehensive standard product portfolio as well as various- and interesting modification- and development projects at the SPS IPC Drives. Visitors to the fair may get information on all these topics on Stand 320 in Hall 6 of the Nuremberg Fair.
