Alok Madasani of PSCC breaks multiple NWCL Records!

Bellevue, Washington, September 17, 2013 – Greater Seattle Area Cricketer Alok Madasani of PSCC (Puget Sound Cricket Club) broke multiple NWCL (North West Cricket League) Records by scoring fastest double century in the history of NWCL. Playing a game against Washington State University (WSU) this Saturday September 14, 2013 at their home ground located in Pullman, WA Alok Scored flashing 204 runs in only 70 balls. His first century came off of 39 balls and the second century was scored in merely 29 balls and included five 6’s and one 4 in single over. His second century is considered the fastest century in the history of the Cricket both locally and internationally.

“It was a similar batting performance like the one that we saw last week, lot of back to back boundaries and he was just fearless against the opponent’s bowlers,” Club vice president and team captain Nazeer Mohammed said. “He took the game into his own hands and unlike last week’s performance this was a slightly longer innings and the match defining one.”

“This is big milestone for the newly formed Cricket Club’s team mate to hit the fastest double century in the history of NWCL” Mr. Nazeer said. “It is no surprise to me to see our Club break multiple records in the first year of our existence. We have great cricketers in our team and with an opportunity to have more structured practice next year in the newly established Cricket field in our own City we could have another success story on our door step soon.” Added Mr. Nazeer.

For his efforts Alok received PSCC MOM (Man of the Match) award and NWCL MVP award for the week. Puget Sound Cricket Club will utilize North Robinswood Cricket field in Bellevue, WA for regular Club practice during week days and use it as home field for their multiple teams to compete in North West Cricket league. If anyone is interested in playing Cricket they could join them for their practice session and try out to play with their teams at the beginning of the season next year.
