Patti Austin Music Launches “#ShowPatti Beautiful Europe” Photo Contest

Grammy Award Winner Patti Austin tours Europe and provides her followers an opportunity to show off scenic spots from their countries through a photo contest.

Patti Austin Music is launching a photo contest as part of her European concert tour. Dubbed the “#ShowPatti Beautiful Europe” photo contest, it is Ms. Austin’s way of putting her live performances into context–highlighting the scenic places where she will be performing and preserving the images in a travelogue which she will publish at a later date.

Ms. Austin has performed in the UK, Germany, Austria and Spain to name a few countries. She has recently appeared with Quincy Jones, James Ingram, Siedah Garrett and many more at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Ms. Austin has always been captivated by the rich beauty and history of Europe and would like to give her audience an opportunity for sharing their pride for the place where they came from.

This year, Ms. Austin is touring around the world in Asia, Europe and America. The European leg of the tour is set to continue in September, where she will be performing in Amsterdam (Sept. 15), Sweden (Sept. 20), Finland (Sept. 22) and Denmark (Sept. 24-25).

Up for grabs in the contest is a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The contest is open to citizens of countries in the European Union, must be 13 years old or older, and has a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account where they can post their entry.

Only original, unpublished photos may be entered into the competition and must not have been used in any contest prior to this. Contestants must stay within the theme “Beautiful Europe”–capturing a scene, a place or view which highlights the theme. It could be a popular tourist destination, a historical landmark or a breathtaking view from the city. The photographer must provide proof of model approval if the picture includes popular personalities.

The photo submission needs to have a brief description of the subject, the camera and lens used, and the hashtag #ShowPatti if joining via Twitter or Instagram for it to be recognized as an entry. The photo contest will run from August 7, 2013 to September 30, 2013, and the winner will be announced on October 4, 2013.
