Hauschild presents a new highly sophisticated series of intelligent DAC (Dual Asymmetric Centrifugal) laboratory mixers: the Hauschild SpeedMixer® SMART DAC Series with real-time jar's temperature control, cooling, robotic, vacuum and many other new unique features. At the same time, the company asks its customers in Europe, especially in the Benelux region and the U.S. to carefully check their equipment with the name "SpeedMixer" - without the addition of Hauschild. The company filed various suits due to misleading and trademark infringement as well as to prevent consumer injury.

Hamm, May, 19th 2022. - The Hauschild SpeedMixer is a bladeless laboratory mixing system for the rapid mixing, dispersal or pulverising of different substances and/or chemicals within particularly short times and with reproducible results. Hauschild Engineering has been the market leader in this field for decades and presents a world product novelty: The new Hauschild SpeedMixer® SMART DAC Series combines craftsmanship and expertise with SMART innovations like real-time temperature control, cooling, vacuum-robotic, sensor integration, variable counter rotation, Internet of things compliance, QR-code reader, remote control, and automatic pot cooling system, which is an absolute novelty in the field of laboratory mixers.
New capacity, higher volumes and a robotic vacuum version available
Furthermore, the industry leader increased the capacity of its Hauschild SpeedMixer®, offering more choices for specific applications. The SMART DAC series allows mixing from 250 g up to 1,5 kg and 2 kg. All SMART DAC will be available with mixing volume from 310 ml up to 2.8 litres.
Mareike Boccola, owner and marketing manager of Hauschild explains: "Our new Hauschild SpeedMixer® SMART DAC Series is designed to be virtually maintenance free, indestructible and to raise the bar on performance." Up to 20 percent more powerful versus the standard LR version, the SMART DAC features variable counter rotation, increased mixing weight and volume and allows up to 30 minutes of mixing time. The improved structure also allows mixing at very low speeds without the risk of high vibrations, offering a big advantage when, for example, a light powder is one of the components. "New features like the control of the jar's temperature in combination with an automatic cooling programme or the adaption of specific volume requirements make the new SMART DAC series capable of mixing the unmixable," Boccola adds.

Vacuum robotic capabilities
For companies with highly automated laboratories and small quantities production Hauschild offers a robotic version - now also with vacuum option for perfect degassing which is the first device of this kind of the market. Up to 500 programs with multiprogram function and up to 36 steps with acceleration and deceleration programmable for each step help laboratory employees to increase the precision of their tests. This enormous time saving is freeing up capacities to do the work that really matters, e.g. the creation of new formulations and increasing quality and variety of products.

Mix up with "SpeedMixer" - FlackTek and RohChem are taken to court
At the same time, the company warns its customers in Europe and especially in the Benelux region as well as in the U.S. to check carefully their equipment with the name "SpeedMixer" - without the addition of Hauschild. Hauschild has filed suit in the US, a civil proceeding in the Netherlands, as well as a criminal proceeding in Spain, against its former distributor FlackTek and its various agents including RohChem since the termination of their agreement in May 2020. The proceedings allege, among other things, intellectual property infringement and unfair trade practices acts, as well as theft in the criminal proceeding.
Hauschild Engineering is now directly supporting the customers in the territories previously covered by FlackTek Inc. and its affiliates. Mareike Boccola says: "For the last fifty years at Hauschild, we have devoted a lot of resources to make the best mixing technology available to our customers. We feel the duty to state clear that there's a mix up of "Speedmixer" in the market right now. We strongly recommend that buyers of a "Speedmixer" should carefully check where the equipment really comes from to avoid disappointment - or worse unsafe operation due to the potential use of non-original parts.
