Optimised newsletter design for outdoor enthusiasts: Jack Wolfskin implements “Mobile Fusion”

Berlin, 4 June 2013 – Jack Wolfskin customers feel most in their element when in the great outdoors. Now, the successful manufacturer of outdoor wear and equipment takes this factor into account for the email channel: as of immediately, the outdoor specialist uses “Mobile Fusion” for the dispatch of newsletters to ensure all email contents are perfectly portrayed on all common smartphones and tablets. This means that recipients will always see newsletters in an optimised layout – even on the go. The different mailing versions required for the various user devices are automatically generated – based on contents that need only be entered once. The clever extension to the email marketing software optivo® broadmail ensures that the resolution and display properties of newsletters and campaign mails are dynamically adjusted to the respective requirements. The optimised email layouts therefore represent real added value for active, mobile users – such as outdoor enthusiasts.

Jack Wolfskin, one of Europe‟s leading suppliers of functional outdoor clothing and equipment, provides subscribers with information including new products, test reports, competitions and events in its newsletters. The company also includes personalised vouchers in emails that may be redeemed in the online shop or at Jack Wolfskin stores. Individual coupons are also utilised. The newsletter design is based on the innovative optivo® Template Kit, which has revolutionised the possibilities of contemporary out-of-the-box designs. This provides users with extreme flexibility in the development of individual email layouts without the necessity of having a background in graphic design or HTML.

Profiling according to countries of origin is a further highlight. This is triggered by the subscriber directly in the newsletter. As soon as the necessary information is available, the email marketing software sends out the appropriate newsletter that is attuned to the corresponding country. This feature is possible through the standard optivo® broadmail interface, which automatically transfers the information to the respective recipient lists.
