MXAM 1.7: Check Larger Models even Faster

10-01-2013 05:38 PM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: Model Engineering Solutions GmbH

Model Examiner 1.7 is considerably faster than its predecessor and even better at handling larger models

Berlin, 16.05.2013 – Model Engineering Solutions (MES) is the specialist in model-based quality assurance for embedded vehicle software. With release 1.7, we have significantly improved the analysis speed of our Model Examiner tool. This triumph in performance highlights the position of the analysis tool as market leader, and is especially beneficial for checking larger models.

Greater Productivity, Reliable Safety
Increased performance is essential to automotive manufacturers. There are up to 700 guidelines in model-based development and the models themselves are expanding in size, making compliance checking an ever more complicated task. The Model Examiner (MXAM) offers not only an economically viable solution to this challenge, but also a high level of security. “We have been testing the new MXAM release and I can definitely say that it fits our needs completely. In fact analysis duration has dropped by 30%, which is an outstanding result.” (Karim Bouziane, Renault)

Checking, Correction and Documentation with a Single Click
MXAM checks whether your Simulink®, Stateflow®, TargetLink®, and ASCET® models comply with all the relevant regulatory and company-specific modeling guidelines – quickly, reliably, and automatically. Should MXAM detect errors, they can be eradicated immediately. MES offers the tool in two editions with a differing functional scope: The MISRA® Compliance Solution checks your software models for MISRA compliance. The Functional Safety Solution uses additional dataflow and control flow analyses to check whether the functional safety requirements of the ISO 26262 standard have been fulfilled.

“The Model Examiner stands for best practice, state-of-the-art technology combined with maximum cost effectiveness. The new release supports our customers in meeting the necessary regulatory requirements with ease and boosting their productivity further still,” comments Dr. Ingo Stürmer, founder and CEO of Model Engineering Solutions.

Model Engineering Solutions GmbH (MES) specializes in the integrated quality assurance of embedded automotive software. The Model Examiner (MXAM) is MES’s classic tool and should be your first choice for checking guideline consistency of Simulink® and TargetLink® models. MES also provides individual consulting services and customized training programs for companies wishing to introduce or enhance their existing model-based development processes, use new technologies such as AUTOSAR, or fulfill new requirements such as ISO 26262. Amongst MES’s clients are major OEMs and suppliers from the automotive industry. MES is a TargetLink Strategic Partner of dSPACE GmbH and a MathWorks Product Partner.
