One of the best employers in the region - WEICON awarded

WEICON GmbH & Co. KG from Muenster, Germany, was awarded as one of the best employers in the region.

Last week an award ceremony for the "Best Employers in the region of Muenster 2013" took place at the publisher Aschendorff in Muenster.
In the context of this event, the Great Place to Work® Institute from Cologne awarded WEICON as one of the best employers in the size class between 50 and 500 employees.

Judging by the employees

The basis of valuation was an anonymous survey of WEICON staff on key issues such as trust, identification, team spirit, career development, health promotion and work-life balance. Furthermore, the quality of the actions of the company’s management was rated.

The employee survey’s data were reviewed and analyzed by the independent institute in Cologne. A total of 45 companies from all industries and size classes participated in the study on the quality and attractiveness of the workplace culture. The contest "Best employers in the region of Muenster 2013" was held for the first time this year.

"The award represents a credible management, working together respectfully and fairly with employees, for a high degree of identification of employees with their company and a strong team spirit," said Andreas Schubert, head of the Great Place to Work® Institute Germany.

About 83 percent of the WEICON workforce were involved in the survey and answered more than 60 questions that were used to determine the results. 82 percent of the WEICON employees agreed with the statement: "Overall, this is a great place to work".

Incentive for the future

"A very nice value," says Ralph Weidling, General Manager of WEICON and expressed his satisfaction over the judgment of his workforce: "Being recognized as one of the best employers in the region, makes us very happy and proud. But the most important thing is that the results are based on a survey of our employees and so they show us, that they are happy to work at WEICON. However, the award is also very inspiring. We would like to acknowledge our good result in the future of course, and continue to increase in order to become an even better employer for our employees."

For WEICON it was the first participation in the competition. However, Ralph Weidling is already certain: "We will participate again in 2014 and have already ordered our registration forms."
