Specially designed Italian language courses for senior citizens
The Italian languageschool organizes low-prized flights, transportation from/to the airport as well as accommodation in beautiful specially rented apartments. The multi-lingual staff of the school’s secretary is helpful to assist during the stay of the participants / students.
These Italian languagecourses for seniors (Silver-Active-Languagecourse) are offered in November 2007, January and March 2008. Group travellers may also do a group booking (upon request also separate dates are available).
The Italian language school Piccola Università Italiana is situated in the historical old town of Tropea (about 150 m linear-distance). The climate in Calabria during winter is agreeable.

The Italian language school was founded in 1993 by Antonio Lamantea as Caffè Italiano Club. In 2004 the school was officially recognised as a professional Italian language school by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. Due to this accreditation the name was changed to Piccola Università Italiana. The Piccola Università Italiana is one of the few certified Italian language schools in Italy, and the only certified in Calabria. The concept of the languageschool is to learn to speak and write the Italian language and to use it actively while enjoying vacation. Every year about 500 people participate the approx. 150 Italian language courses. All teachers have a university degree and are all Italian native speakers.
The Piccola Università Italiana will arrange nice apartments and also organizes transfers and if necessary flight bookings.
