Iowa-based, female-owned cookie company celebrates Girl

If she loves anything more than cookies, it's inspiring girls to smash the patriarchy - and pastriarchy - one cookie at a time.

"I can think of very few people who work harder than a girl scout," said Cookies & Dreams Owner, Stephanie Sellers. "Empowering the girls of today to become the strong female leaders of tomorrow is something I'm passionate about and committed to."

Cookies & Dreams has created an entire lineup of Girl Scout Cookie-inspired goodies for their Scout's Honor Cookie Box, featuring Courageous Caramel, Mighty Mint, Peanut Butter Promise and more! To celebrate the occasion, 20% of all in-store & shipping sales on March 12th will be donated back to Girl Scouts.

Sellers got her baking start during her youth, while peering over the counter as Mimi, her long time baby-sitter, taught her the baking basics. Together, the two baked cookies, pies, brownies and more, some of which were even entered into the local 4-H competition at the county fair. Sellers credits Mimi's guidance & baking expertise as the root of today's creativity & go-getter attitude, and wants other little girls to see themselves through her and her business.

"There's absolutely nothing a girl can't do," Sellers says, "The entire world is at her fingertips."

Girl Scout Day recognizes and celebrates the Girls Scouts of the USA. This date celebrates the creation of the first Girl Scout group on March 12, 1912.

On March 12, 1912 Juliette Gordon Low started the first Girl Scout group in Savannah, Georgia, with 18 girls. The Girls Scouts became a national organization, and was chartered by the U.S. Congress on March 16, 1950. Today, there are millions of girls involved with Girl Scouts.

Cookies & Dreams has three storefront locations, with four more on the way.
They also ship nationwide, so snag your cookies and celebrate the Scouts!
