High Precision Linear Positioners
Applications for these linear motion systems include semiconductor test equipment, photonics alignment, lab-automation, bio-nanotechnology, beam line instrumentation, aerospace technology, fiber-optic positioning, microscopy, laser technology.
In addition to standard linear translation stages spanning positioning ranges from 1 inch to 1 m, highly customized turkey positioning systems with travel ranges up to several meters and air bearings are offered.
Ambient, clean-room and vacuum-compatible versions in several precision classes are available. A special space-qualified version of the MT 40 linear translation stage is currently used on the Mars Rover for a precision focusing mechanism in a laser induced breakdown spectrometer
Drive systems include open-loop stepper motors, closed-loop servo motors and high-speed linear motors. High precision feedback systems such as glass scale encoders are standard or optional on most of the linear and vertical positioning systems.
A variety of single and multi-axis motor controllers with USB interfaces and software packages specially designed for these precision positioners is offered.

New piezo nanopositioning system: versatile, fast and compact with large clear a …
Large clear aperture, high control dynamics, fast settling times and compact dimensions: PI launches a new product line of linear nanopositioning systems for a broad range of applications. The P-630 stages are perfectly suited, e.g. for use in sensor heads or precision motion of objects in optical and tactile metrology as well as for microstructuring. With travel ranges up to 80 µm and a direct piezo actuator drive, the compact positioning
2 mm Travel Range - 20 Milliseconds Settling Time: New Objective Scanner with Pi …
New microscopy methods, such as two-photon microscopy, make it possible to record 3D stacks with up to 1 mm depth in biological samples. For this they require high-performance drives for positioning the objectives. PI (Physik Instrumente) now developed the new N-725 PIFOC® objective scanner with piezo stepping drives especially for position-ing microscopy objectives. The N-725 provides travel ranges of up to 2 mm along the optical axis. At the same time
New Version of M-663 Micropositioning Stage: Benefits of PILine® Drive Technolo …
Cost-effective with 2 µm step size. PI (Physik Instrumente) completes its product line of high-velocity M-663 micropositioning stages. The new linear stage version M-663.5U is especially suited for positioning tasks in automation where a resolution of 0.6 µm and a step size of 2 µm are sufficient. The integrated PILine® linear motor provides push forces to 5 N and a maximum velocity of up to 250 mm/s over a 18 mm
Small Size and High Resolution: New Miniature Stage is Only 24 mm Wide at a Reso …
Physik Instrumente (PI) has introduced the new LPS-24 series. At only 24 × 33 × 20 mm³, these new miniature positioning stages provide a travel range of 15 mm with nanometer-precision resolution. The LPS-24 stages fulfil important requirements for the positioning of optical or mechanical components or for the adjustment and manipulation of samples in application environments with a confined space. For the LPS-24 series, PI uses NEXACT® piezo stepping drives. These

New temperature sensors in miniature design
Klingenberg, January 2014. They are so small that you hardly notice them: With their minimal design, the new temperature sensors from WIKA fit in even the tightest of spaces. The model TF40 was developed specifically for use in ventilation ducts; the model TF41 for the measurement of outside temperatures. The measuring elements of both sensors are inserted into a UV-resistant plastic housing that measures just 44(l) x 32(w) x 30(h) mm. The
Miniature Industrial Ethernet Fiber Optic Media Converter
Industrial Fast Ethernet bridge / media converter connects 10Base-T 10MBit/s Ethernet or 100Base-TX 100MBit/s Fast Ethernet RJ-45 port with 100Base-FX 100MBit/s Fast Ethernet fiber optic port. The minimal dimensions allow the installation even in small cabinets with narrow space conditions. The wings with drill-hole for screws and the enclosed DIN rail clip allow the installation on the wall or on DIN rail
ULTRA MINIATURE SMD QUARTZ CRYSTAL
PETERMANN-TECHNIK’s SMD02016/4 series includes the ultra miniature SMD quartz crystal with dimensions of 2.0 x 1.6 x 0.45 mm. Its very narrow frequency tolerances make the tiny crystal available in the basic sound range 24 ~ 50 MHz very suitable for use in wireless applications such as Bluetooth, NFC, WLAN, ISM, ZigBee, RFID, etc. Frequency tolerances of 25°C are available at +-10 ppm and above, temperature stabilities at +-8 ppm and
Miniature hexapod with great freedom of movement
The tried-and-tested parallel kinematics hexapod systems from Physik Instrumente (PI) provide precise positioning in six axes with precisions below 1 µm. The new miniature M-810 hexapod takes up only minimal installation space. With a diameter of only 10 cm and a height of 118 mm it provides travel ranges up to 40 mm in the XY-plane and up to 13 mm in the Z-direction. The high-precision brushless special DC motors
Small, robust, intelligent: Adaptive solution ‘en miniature’
PI Ceramic presents the latest development in the field of piezo composites, P-876.SP1, the smallest ever version of the patented DuraAct™ patch transducer. A thin piezo ceramic film only 0.2 mm thick is used to construct a robust element which can be used as both an actuator and a sensor. The P-876.SP1 is simple to handle and its extremely compact size makes it suitable for use in very small spaces. DuraAct™
