Schaltbau GmbH: New snap-action switches for extreme applications
Snap-action switch series S926 and S970 for use in severe environmental conditions.
The amber-coloured, transparent snap-action switches are highly suited for applications in which the impact forces involved require the materials used to withstand a great deal of shock as in door systems of railway vehicles. They are also highly recommendable for use in products exposed to aggressive chemical influences or extreme temperatures (-55°C to +150°C). They are also suitable for offshore applications such as wind turbines as well as for printing machines.
“Connect – Contact – Control” is the motto under which Schaltbau GmbH develops and manufactures electromechanical components for transportation technology, energy, industry and material handling. Founded in 1929, the company has ten locations of its own and more than 60 sales partners worldwide. The Schaltbau range of products includes connectors, snap-action switches and contactors as well as electrics for rolling stock. The Schaltbau GmbH quality management system is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 and its ecological management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001. The company has been certified as a Q1 supplier to Deutsche Bahn (German Rail) since 2004. The german plants Velden and Aldersbach have been quality-certified in accordance with IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) since October 2008.

Schaltbau GmbH: new high-performance charging connector for industrial trucks
Munich, 13 June 2013: The new LV-HPC (High Power Connector) charging connector made by Schaltbau meets the DIN VDE 0623-589 standards for a greater current-carrying capacity. The series is therefore suitable for state-of-the-art fast chargers such as those used with industrial trucks. A red-coded keying pin signifies operation at 120, 250 and 400 amperes for charging wet-cell batteries and serves to prevent mismating at the same time.
