Scottish & Irish Gold Tour Itinerary

Scottish & Irish Gold Tour Itinerary

CIE Tours is pleased to announce that, due to strong consumer demand, a new 15- or 16-day tour combining a week each in both Celtic countries of Scotland and Ireland is now available for immediate sale. In keeping with CIE Tours’ focus on quality, the new Scottish & Irish Gold offers deluxe and superior first class hotels, full breakfasts, 11 dinners including special evenings with entertainment and a comprehensive daily sightseeing program.

This tour starts in Glasgow and spends a full week experiencing the best that Scotland has to offer – cruise Loch Lomond, discover whisky-making at Glenfiddich Distillery, enjoy tea and scones with a talk on Scottish life, plenty of wonderful Highland scenery and Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh. Visits take in Culloden Battlefield, St Andrews, the Isle of Skye and a number of impressive castles, including Balmoral or Crathes Castle.
Clients travel on a short ferry crossing from Cairnryan to Belfast to visit the popular new attraction of Titanic Belfast before heading south to Dublin and completing a loop of the southern half of Ireland. Experiences include a catamaran cruise of Killary Fjord in County Mayo, a jaunting car ride in Killarney, a music session with Irish coffee and a walking tour around Waterford. The awesome scenery of Connemara, the Cliffs of Moher and Killarney’s famous Ring of Kerry tour keep each day’s program filled with enchanting moments.

A Scottish Highland Evening, a traditional Scottish ceilidh in Edinburgh and Taylor’s Three Rock Pub in Dublin will provide great entertainment as well as delicious dinners with local specialties. As most of the deluxe hotels are centrally located, clients will have plenty of opportunities to explore pubs in Edinburgh, Dublin, Killarney and other places on their own as well as dining independently on one evening each in Edinburgh and Dublin. Clients choosing the 16-day tour will spend an additional day in Dublin to explore by open-top bus and visit Guinness Storehouse or Old Jameson Distillery.

The Scottish & Irish Gold tour starts in Glasgow on Sundays from March 17 through October 27 and rates for the 15-day tour start at €2,138. Full details of the 15- and 16-day tours, including comprehensive details of all hotels, appear on our website, www.cietours.com.
