Rebates and tax credits go toward HVAC replacement and energy upgrades.

Rebates and tax credits go toward HVAC replacement and energy upgrades.

AUSTIN, TX – Homeowners to receive over $3,200 in rebates and a tax credit for replacing outdated air conditioning systems and following recommended energy upgrades, which will result in ongoing savings in utilities and energy conservation.

Airco Mechanical Ltd., a participating contractor with Austin Energy’s Home Performance with Energy Star program, is excited to announce the combined financial benefit of the return of Austin Energy’s “Best Offer Ever,” and the reinstated federal 25C tax credit for high-efficiency HVAC equipment. In addition, homeowners can get low APR financing for any remaining balances after the rebates have been applied.

Airco encourages participating residents to take advantage of the opportunity to weatherproof their home, add insulation and replace old heating and cooling units at a fraction of the retail value during this limited-time offer. AE’s Best Offer Ever is available only through March 31, 2013. The federal 25C tax credit will be available through Dec. 31, 2013. For a full list of qualified energy-saving services, residents can call 512-634-8049, or visit aircoaustin.com.

The “Best” part of AE’s offer, says Wes Stearns, retail manager for Airco’s Austin location, is that residents are able to have the rebate sent to Airco and finance the remaining balance at 3.99% APR with terms up to 10 years. Monthly payments as low as $45 are possible for complete projects, making these services more affordable than ever before, since the payment will often be offset by the estimated monthly utility savings, says Stearns. This offer has been made possible in part by a federal grant, which is not connected to the 25C tax credit.

The additional federal 25C tax credit, which initially expired at the end of 2011, has been retroactively reinstated by Congress and President Obama in order to avoid the so-called “fiscal cliff.” This law will stay in effect until Dec. 31, 2013.

Airco offers a wide spectrum of incentives for residents who decide to take advantage of these energy and cash-saving opportunities. Some of these incentives include free attic insulation, a 1-year maintenance plan with each install, and a free analysis of your existing equipment. For full disclosure of all applicable incentives and discounts, call 512-634-8049, or visit aircoaustin.com.

How it Works

1) Contact Airco, a participating contractor, by calling 512-634-8049, or by visiting aircoaustin.com.
2) Education: An Airco representative will come to your home to discuss all available incentives, tax credits, and rebates that apply to your home.
3) Analysis: Airco will complete an analysis of your home, and make recommendations for services and upgrades that will reduce your utility use.
4) Verification: will review the recommendations and analysis before any work is performed. You will have 100% disclosure on all financing, rebates, and tax credit options that may apply.
5) Work Completed: The requested work and equipment replacements will be completed to your satisfaction.
6) Inspection: All completed work will be inspected by Austin Energy in order to ensure that it was done properly for maximum energy efficiency.
7) Rebates Processed: All applicable rebates will then be processed.* If you opt for the financing option, the rebate will be paid to Airco towards the total balance due. If you pay cash for all services performed, then you will receive the rebate. The average processing time for rebates is 3-5 weeks.
8) You keep saving money! In addition to the tax credit and rebates, customers who apply all recommended energy-improvements to their home will receive an immediate reduction in their utility bill by up to 40%.

*This applies only to the AE “Best Offer Ever.” Airco will give you all the necessary paperwork and instructions for you to apply for the 25C federal tax credit.
