No monsters for minis - Space saving power amp debuts at the Heathrow show

Because space becomes an issue more and more small speakers are definitely a trend. And they are getting better all the time.

However, anyone who wants to assemble a setup with those speakers that in some cases can sound far bigger than their size implies is bewildered when the same Hifi dealer who first ballyhoos the great sound of the small speakers in question ends up with recommending a power amp that hardly fits into any cabinet.

During the Hifi & Home Entertainment Show (23rd - 25th Sept. 2005) UK distributor Henley Designs will display a solution to this problem at the Wellington Suite (2nd floor) in the Renaissance Hotel, Heathrow, London. The Black Cube Stamp by German manufacturer Lehmann audio enters the market to show that it is possible to save space and supply real high end quality sound reproduction at the same time.

The highly modern switching amplifier has been equipped with only the best parts available. The printed circuit board sports a double sided 105µm copper plating and internal audio cabling is not only solid core but even soldered directly to the board and the connectors thereby avoiding additional plugged contacts. At the size of 280mm x 115mm x 42mm the Black Cube Stamp delivers up to 20W per channel at 4 Ohms. This means that speakers with an efficiency of 87db and above are perfect partners.

Together with the already highly acclaimed Black Cube Linear a top notch preamp power amp combination is possible. If the loudspeakers in question are ready for biamping the Black Cube Stamp supports this feature: the amplifier can be switched from stereo to biamping mode underneath the unit.

Last but not least: the Black Cube Stamp can be mounted space savingly beneath desktop tables, in or under cabinets or on walls by using the optional mounting kit.

The Black Cube Stamp will be in the stores from the mid of October 2005.
