Sophos Expands Regional Presence By Signing Computerlinks As New Middle East Value Added Distributor

Dubai, UAE – February 4, 2013 – As part of their regional expansion plans, Sophos today announced that they have signed Computerlinks as their new Value Added Distributor (VAD) for the Middle East region. This partnership will see Computerlinks distributing Sophos’ complete range of security solutions through its solid channel network across the region.

Speaking on the partnership, André Scheffknecht, Vice President NEEMEA, Sophos, said “The Middle East region is very important for Sophos. Over the last few years, we have established our position as ‘the vendor of choice’ for end-to-end security solutions with Enterprises in this region. Our focus in 2013 is to further strengthen our market reach and address the ever-growing SMB segment across the Middle East. Computerlinks, with its market knowledge and strong expertise in security value-added distribution, was the perfect choice for our new regional partner.”

As part of the agreement, Computerlinks will distribute Sophos’ complete range of solutions including Endpoint Security, Encryption and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Web and Email Protection, Mobile Control and Sophos Network Security and Unified Threat Management (UTM). Computerlinks will work closely with Sophos to provide comprehensive customer support, greater flexibility and immediacy in terms of access to the local team, as well as delivering broad access to Sophos solutions.

Computerlinks will offer its channel partners several value-added services to help them sell Sophos’ solutions better. Together with Sophos, they will conduct seminars and training programmes for their partners as well as offer pre-sales, implementation and post-sales support.
