Bluefy got an updated browser and extra BLE connection functions

Bluefy Web Bluetooth browser, created for iOS users, gained positive feedback from customers in 2021, which further confirmed the great connectivity of the app. However, the team of developers decided to go the extra mile and adopt new connection functions and interface features.

Speaking about extra features, IT experts and designers closely collaborated to add the full-screen feature, allowing users to imitate PWA behavior. That was one of the main customers wants the team complied with and reached success. In addition, the fix is indispensable in the context of creating simple web solutions. So good news for those willing to develop and test Progressive Web Apps - now you can do that within Bluefy! And the zest of the app is that you can connect several wireless devices simultaneously with no interruptions.

Another issue the team was concerned about - is the comprehensive compatibility of the app with all screens and iOS devices. For improved results, a dedicated team of designers implemented CSS media queries. PNN Soft IT experts were working diligently for two months and improved Bluefy’s compatibility, which also resulted in UI refinement. Designers also slightly modified icons, while developers included bookmarks to make navigation more intuitively understandable and convenient.

But the primary part was yet to be done: as the audience of Bluefy was growing day by day, developers decided to implement additional language localization. Before approaching the task, the team analyzed data to define countries where Bluefy has the largest audience. As a result, they performed localization for the app that nowadays comprises 14 European languages, including English.

Since Bluefy’s users interact actively with the cloud, addressing security issues was another priority. The team carried out that responsibility with the utmost care: security strengthening implied started by penetration testing and vulnerability assessment. After accomplishing the primary stages, security specialists applied double encryption and additional protocols. Finally, the team took this advantage of robust monitoring features and non-fatal issue reporting.
