Partner Richmond Nairon became interested in helping consumers after he dealt with the monthly pile of medical bills that accompanied his father’s chemotherapy treatments. “It was a stressful time, managing the care of my father and piles of indecipherable bills,” said Nairon. The two realized that while there were online tools for evaluating car purchases and finding the right cell phone plan, there weren’t many options for consumers of medical care to navigate the complex medical billing and insurance system.
