BITS Pilani Rajasthan Alumnus shining at Navratna Oil Major BPCL
This BITSian with a passion for writing draws his inspiration from Toni Morrison’s quote “If there's a book you really want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it.”He is presently Executive Director Human Resource Development at India’s oil Major Navratna status BPCL - Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. He is an expert in Change Management, Talent Management and has spoken at various international conferences in UK, USA, Singapore and South East Asia. He has been playing a stellar role in BMA - Bombay Management Association, Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry as well as Indian Merchant Chamber.
He can speak at length, breadth and depth about the transformation of BPCL into a Customer Responsive Company. In his opinion, organizations can only create the right ambience and wherewithal for employees to discover themselves but however the large part of the success depends on the individual.
Along with Signe M Spencer, Tharuma Rajah, Gaurav Lahiri of HayGroup and S.A. Narayan of BPCL, he has co authored the Book: The Indian CEO – A Portrait of Excellence which was released by the Honorable Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on 18 July 2007 at Delhi.
He is none other than Seetharaman Mohan who did his B.E. (Hons) Mechanical Engineering at BITS Pilani during 1968-1973. Further, drawing inspiration from the motto of his alma mater Knowledge is Power Supreme, Mr Mohan is pursuing the specially designed off-campus PhD program for working professionals also at BITS Pilani.
Within minutes of the book release, he sent a copy of the same to his alma mater.
Mr Seetharaman Mohan who has integrated himself into the excellence circuit is indeed a proud alumnus of BITS Pilani and in the times to come, he is bound to climb more peaks.
