Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS) are steels with two-phase and strain-induced ductility. Purpose-designed press hardened steels and steels with improved edge tensile and tensile bending properties are examples of higher strength steels. All martensitic and multiphase steels with a minimum specified tensile strength of 440 MPa or higher are classified as AHSS.
