New: International treatment of orphan diseases in the field of neurology

Press release from: Lazar Medical Consortium Group

Dr. David Seideman (Lazar | Seideman | Smith)

Dr. David Seideman (Lazar | Seideman | Smith)

Lazar, Seideman & Smith is the first international online practice for the treatment of rare diseases (orphan diseases) in the field of neurology. In addition to analog offices, the practice emphasizes telemedicine to ensure that anyone suffering from a complex and/or orphan disease has access to this high level of care, regardless of where they live. Exams that cannot be performed telemedically are provided by local partner practices.

Lazar, Seideman & Smith is part of the Lazar Medical Consortium Group (Lazar Group), an association of more than 4500 independent physicians worldwide. The founder is Dr. Marius Lazar, a veteran of telemedicine.

Through the small but productive LCG Greece Medical Research (non-profit), also part of the Lazar Medical Consortium Group, findings from the treatment of rare diseases in neurology are made directly available to the scientific community. LCG Greece Medical Research is led by Dr. Carolina Diamandis, who is also Director General of the entire Lazar Group.

Of particular interest are atypical dementias, damages caused by metals (iron, copper, aluminum, etc.) and toxins, chronic and barely detectable inflammation of the brain as well as rare hereditary syndromes.

With Dr. David Seideman, an experienced neurologist and internist could be recruited as second chief physician, as well as Dr. Lucas Smith, who is (still) little known but appreciated by many colleagues.

The working language of the practice is English, and the waiting time for a first consultation is currently one to three weeks. Doctors from other specialties from the Lazar Group are quickly brought into the medical team when their expertise is needed.

Founder and pioneer Dr. Marius Lazar emphasizes that he has made his own wish come true with this international and also digital orphan disease practice: a clinic where diseases are systematically deciphered and diagnosed not in a textbook manner, but with the methodology of a detective. Likewise, Dr. Lazar emphasizes that with such an offer, people without a clear diagnosis will no longer fall for "faith healers," "herbalists," or other problematic "practitioners" in their desperation.
