Willie Macc makes his official professional debut as a stand-up comedian

Los Angeles, Calif - July 23, 2007 - Funny man Willie Macc will appear at 9pm on Tuesday, July 31st, 2007 at BB Kings, Universal City Walk, California. In his official debut as a professional comedian, Willie Macc will bring his hilarious sense of humor to center stage along side of several musical acts.

Known best from his role on BET's highest rated reality series, College Hill Virgin Islands, Willie Macc has also appeared on CSI, and BET's "Take the Cake". No stranger to the comedy stage, Willie Macc has utilized open mic nights and other comedy club appearances to sharpen his routine. But his appearance on July 31st at BB Kings marks the official start of his career as a working comedian. When asked what does all of this means for him, Willie Macc commented, "There's no turning back now, I guess I'm a comedian, huh,....I'm Willie Macc B&t^#....." (explicit deleted), the latter being a line that he made famous during his appearances on College Hill.

Born the oldest of three sons to Elder Willie McMiller and Minerva McMiller, Willie Macc was born in Seascy, Arkansas and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. A 2002 graduate of Hazelwood Central High School, where he was the ultimate class clown, Willie Macc left St. Louis and headed to Los Angeles to pursue an acting and comedy career. Willie Macc cites Bernie Mac, Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy as comedians that have strongly influenced him. He spells his name with two "c's", so it would not be too confusing with Bernie Mac. But like Bernie Mac, Willie Macc aspires to one day have his own comedy series.
