Hovering over the Grand Canyon!

Las Vegas, NV -- Dec. 3, 2013 -- Las Vegas-based Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour Reviews today launched it's newest YouTube video exclusive in which the company reveals how booking online significantly reduces costs on National Park air tours.

The clip, which hits all the essential points in less than 5 minutes, is located here:

The video's key point is booking ahead of time.

"By making reservations in advance, travelers will be able to choose from the largest selection of trips and departure times," said Keith Kravitz, publisher of Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour Reviews.

Planning like this is crucial, especially for Spring Break and summer vacations.

"Peak travel seasons put a real stress on availability," noted Kravitz. "Helicopters only seat up to six people, which, combined with heightened demand, makes sell-outs a common occurrence."

Kravitz also notes that certain parts of the day are more preferable for flying than others and that these time slots are usually the first to fill up.

"Mornings are always best," he said. "That's when visibility is crystal clear and air is the smoothest."

The video aims to educate the traveling public that purchasing air tours at the destination costs more.

"Heli tours are like commercial airlines tickets," Kravitz noted. "If bought the same-day or within 48 hours, expect to pay a premium. Further, avoid using hotel concierges or Las Vegas Strip ticket kiosks. First, the price will be inflated to cover the seller’s commission. Second, don't expect great seats because most are last-minute cancels that simply need to be filled."

Some tour operators let customers purchase the front seat, an opportunity that has a better chance of happening if booked ahead of time.

"Seating on helicopters is random and determined by equal distribution of overall passenger weight," Kravitz said. "Front-seat reservations are available, but the odds of getting them increase if booked ahead of time as the tour operator has more upfront time to plan for it."

Kravitz noted that many travelers postpone reserving seats because of the unpredictability of their travel plans. However, good tour operators include a cancellation policy that covers most unforeseen events.

"The top-tier helicopter tour companies in Las Vegas and South Rim offer a 100-percent refund if travelers cancel their trip 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time. These same operators will also reschedule your flight later in the day in the event of inclement weather. If the new time is incompatible with a traveler’s itinerary, the company will refund the purchase price."

The video also points out that air-tour websites feature the latest Internet security and accept major credit cards like VISA, MasterCard, American Express and JCB. "These travel sites are robust and can handle bookings that range from individuals and families to corporations and groups," Kravitz said.

The video wraps by explaining where to get the best deals on West Rim and South Rim helicopter tours.

"Avoid using major travel sites like Expedia, Travelocity and Viator," Kravitz advised. "Instead, buy direct online from the tour operator. It's the companies running the tours that set the rates and post the best discount prices on the Web."
