On Thursday, January 31, 2013, English Turn Golf & Country Club will host the “Celebrity Golf Invitational.” The event is a unique opportunity to not only play alongside the professional football legends but also be a part of the premier golf event during the championship week.

The Celebrity Golf Invitational will join forces with the NFL Players Association Former Players Chapters this year and host some of the greatest names in professional football, other athletes and entertainers along with many corporate clients and enthusiasts. The event will focus on raising money to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana.

The host of the Celebrity Golf Invitational will be actor Anthony Anderson. He currently stars in the new show Man with Kids and is known for his work in The Me, Myself & Irene Departed, and Hustle & Flow. Confirmed clothing sponsor is Under Armour for the Celebrity Golf Invitational. Under Armour currently sponsors golf pro Hunter Mahan, and football players Cam Newton, Miles Austin and Tom Brady. The Celebrity Golf Invitational features a pre-round golf clinic, golf with nationally recognized professional athletes and celebrity entertainers, a social hour, silent auction, and a few surprises along the way.

“This special Celebrity Golf Event will provide an awesome opportunity for all amateur golfers, athletes and entertainers to play on New Orleans' No. 1 private golf course and tee it up for a great cause,” said organizer and event chairman Ty DeLavallade, “The excitement is building, and we honestly can't wait until the day gets here to see who the final two teams will be. Being a Chicago native, I will keep my fingers crossed for my Bears to keep the W’s coming!”

“It was easy to chose Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans and Acadiana to be the beneficiary of the proceeds because of the great work they have done in the city over the years feeding those in need,” DeLavallade added “The 2013 Celebrity Golf Invitational gives sponsors a unique platform to market their brand, while making a positive impact for charities of the Greater New Orleans area.”

Sponsorships are now available. For more tournament information or questions, please email ty@golfquests.com or call (407) 656-1655.
