Chanon Lauffer-Imagination

Chanon Lauffer-Imagination

Dutch artist Chanon Lauffer interacts with the world through joyful, colorful, exuberant art. Her high energy abstract paintings sweep viewers into a whirling scene of color, at once a celebration and a challenge. “In our modern fast society, a lot of adults aren’t even able to enjoy the magic of nature, the magnificent mixture of people surrounding us, and the power of emotions that bring us closer together,” she says. Her art is an effort to break through that complacency, to recapture the spontaneity of childhood in a way that captivates viewers and invites them on a journey to rediscover their excitement for life. Beneath all the bold colors and arresting brushstrokes, this work reveals a tender understanding of human nature and the many facets of our emotions.
Lauffer lives in Amsterdam but travels around the world with her paintings. In the last three years she has exhibited in New York, Paris, Brussels, Antwerp and Amsterdam, reaching out and connecting with people through her art.
