LINE OF SUCCESS CONTINUES

In an exhibition space twice as large than in the past, this year’s EUHEF in Wiesbaden gathers selected specialists in the fields of monument conservation, architecture, antiques as well as interior and garden design at a new location in Biebrich Castle in Wiesbaden.

EUHEF – Trade fair and congress for monument conservation, architecture as well as interior and garden design; Biebrich Castle, Wiesbaden, 25–27 October 2012.

The three-day event is geared towards proprietors, operators and caretakers of historical homes, gardens and churches in private and public ownership as well as their employees and consultants, but also addresses those who simply enjoy traditional and classical interior and garden design.
Over 80 suppliers of products and services for the renovation, sanitation, maintenance and preservation of castles, forts, manor houses, churches, historical city centres, industrial monuments and artwork present their specific offers this year and use the setting to initiate contact with potential clients and maintain existing customer relations.
Parallel to the fair, a number of specialised seminars take place that relate to the subject of energy-efficient refurbishing, renovation, monument conservation and marketing of historical houses. An evening event on the first day of the fair offers an additional opportunity to exchange ideas.

Cooperation partner and advisory body

The EUHEF 2012 takes place in cooperation with renowned institutions for monument preservation and cultural heritage. On a national level, these are the German Foundation for Monument Protection (Deutsche Stiftung für Denkmalschutz), the Association of Restorers (Verband der Restauratoren) and the Association of Restorers in Crafts (Verband der Restauratoren im Handwerk). Partners of the EUHEF on an international scale are the Europa Nostra, the leading European monument initiative, and INTBAU – International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism – a non-profit organisation under the patronage of the Prince of Wales.
The fair is accompanied by a high-carat advisory board that consists of practitioners and disseminators in the field of monument preservation. The advisory board reflects the EUHEF’s high quality standards. Its members include: Dr Wolfgang Illert, Director of the German Foundation for Monument Protection; Prince Alexander Sayn-Wittgenstein, President of Europa Nostra Deutschland; Guido Kramp, President of the Association of Restorers in Crafts; Christian Leonhard from the Association of Restorers; Dr Christian Striefler, Chairman of the Association of German Palace Administration, and Baron Christoph Schenck zu Schweinsberg, INTBAU Deutschland e.V.
