BGB Motorsports Wins the 2012 Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Driver Championship on Forgeline Wheels

After a very entertaining 2012 Grand-Am Road Racing season that culminated with an exciting season finale at Lime Rock Park, BGB Motorsports drivers David Empringham and John Farano claimed the 2012 Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Grand Sport (GS) driver championship!

The Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge is one of the most exciting racing series on the planet. Racing on their Forgeline GA3R wheels at 10 different world-class venues, BGB Motorsports earned three podium spots and nine top-ten finishes throughout the ultra-competitive 2012 season. Their dedication, hard work, and consistently impressive team and driver performances allowed them to earn 264 points to clinch the driver championship. This is the second Grand-Am CTSCC GS championship in as many years to be won on Forgeline wheels, with Turner Motorsport claiming the 2011 title.

Forgeline Motorsports customers also accounted for three of the top four teams in the 2012 final team standings, with the #83 BGB Motorsports Porsche finishing in second, the #9 Stevenson Motorsport Camaro in third, and the #01 CKS Autosport Camaro in fourth. Matt Bell, driver of the #9 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro, also rounded out his spectacular season by earning second place in the driver championship standings, finishing 29 points behind Empringham and Farano.
