Kartuga Alpha Challenge

Kartuga Alpha Challenge

Hamburg, October 4, 2012. InnoGames unveils the 3D pirate browser game – Kartuga – for the first time, to a small selection of players, on November 24. The Kartuga Alpha, organized by the game’s developer will take place in Hamburg, at the company’s headquarters. Sixteen gamers will be invited to compete in a Kartuga high-seas battle with several rounds. Three winners will be then chosen to receive prizes as such as iPads, iPhones and iPods.
By organizing the event, InnoGames plans to give exclusive insight into the game, which is currently still in alpha phase, for a lucky group of enthusiasts. Players will be given up to 250 EUR for travel expenses, making it possible for participants to jet off to the beautiful German city for a day of fun. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet and chat with the makers of Kartuga. To register for the upcoming lottery, players can apply until the 14th of October via the InnoGames blog.
Hamburg developer-studio Ticking bomb Games designed the action-packed MMOG. The game is based on Unity 3D and places a strong focus on cooperative PvP with various role-playing elements. In Kartuga, players choose one of three ship types to improve and expand through a series of quest and missions. The official launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2013. The first graphic of a lead character, the Engineer, is now published on the Kartuga homepage.

With about 90 million registered players, InnoGames is one of the world's leading developers and providers of online games. The Hamburg-based company has scored major successes with games such as Tribal Wars, Grepolis and Forge of Empires.
