Press release from: green.tv/de

Berlin, 09/07/2007 - green.tv brings activists from around the globe together. The green.tv/de platform offers an opportunity for NGOs, public sector bodies, think tanks, independent filmmakers and the green industry to present projects and campaigns to an environmentally conscious audience worldwide. Central subjects are air, land, water, climate change, technologies, people and species. News, features and a children’s program are the prominent features of green.tv/de. An interactive education program and a green shopping channel are currently in development.

Among others, UNEP and Greenpeace International have their own windows at the green.tv platform. New partners are invited to establish their individual windows at green.tv/de.

green.tv/de is a hands-on broadband channel. Users can chose their individual programs. They are invited to discuss films, projects and campaigns and to contribute films themselves. green.tv/de incites civil society to get involved with the Environment & Sustainable Development.

green.tv was founded in March 2006 in London by largeblue and ESP. It is featured on Apple’s iTune page in the ‘What’s Hot’ section. It is in the top 10 of Apple’s leading pod casts above NASA’s science pod cast and National Geographic.

A team of filmmakers, journalists, natural scientists, civil society experts and environmental activists runs green.tv/de.

Under the lead of the film production company greenfilm Jorg Grossmann from Berlin green.tv/de is run by a network of enterprises. greenfilm is one of the first European full service crossmedia enterprises that is specialised in the subjects environmental protection, nature, global, sustainable development, and social justice.
greenfilm works project oriented and cooperates with the relevant experts to meet the needs of the customer. It offers the complete service for production and distribution for the full range of film genres: from campaign and image film, via reportages and documentaries to cinema movies.
The Pinneberg office near Hamburg, run by Infobildungsdienst, organizes communication and science contacts. Miilo and Tapete are responsible for technical aspects and postproduction.
The German media platform cooperates with and under the roof of the world's leading environmental broadband channel green.tv. green.tv has been founded by the British production company largeblue and the programmers' network ESP. It has been online since April 2006.
