Nature Lion Announces Completion Of Their Purpose-Built Mushroom Grow Facility and Commences Growing Mushroom Grow Kits in Brantford, Ontario

Nature Lion’s Brantford Facility is Fully Operational
Nature Lion Inc (“Company”) is pleased to announce that it’s Brantford facility is now fully operational and producing high-quality mushroom grow kits for retail, and wholesale markets. The purpose-built grow facility which has been specifically designed to grow mushrooms can produce 100,000 mushroom grow kits per year. In less than six months the company was able to build their grow facility, including two sterile clean rooms used for the propagation of mushroom tissue.

With this major step forward, the company is planning on expanding their sales efforts with the goal of capturing 10-20% of the market share in Canada before expanding their sales efforts to the United States. “We feel confident that our new facility will be producing at capacity over the next twelve months. It could even happen sooner than that because the demand for mushroom grow kits is going up steadily,” says Andrew Langevin, the CEO of the company.

“Our goal is to get the facility to capacity, expand and keep growing. With the right partnerships we have a solid chance of becoming a very well recognized, and reputable brand.”
The new 3000 sq. ft. facility is in Brantford, Ontario in an industrial area that is zoned for agricultural usage. When expansion takes place, the company has access to an additional 10,000-30,000 sq. ft. which can be used for agriculture, storage, and office space to further carry out their growth strategy. Future plans include production of mushroom extracts, and tinctures in addition to the company’s signature mushroom grow kits.

Currently, there are three mushroom varieties available to DIY enthusiast and gardening lovers. Those varieties include Lion’s Mane, Black Oyster and Pink Oyster mushrooms. The company plans to add two more varieties to that lineup in the next six months for a total of five different mushroom grow kits by early 2022. The estimated market for mushroom grow kits in Canada is $15-20 million annually but we expect these numbers to rise significantly over the next few years the trend of growing mushrooms continues to rise.

The company says that it plans on taking in additional capital, and investors as the company expands, and is looking forward to any possible regulatory changes in Canada that would enable access to psychedelic mushrooms containing psilocybin. But for now the company is happy to continue on it’s path to brand recognition in the mushroom grow kit space.
