Free World Premiere of First Independent Film That Puts the Audience to Sleep on Purpose

Grounded CyberCafe in Sherman Oaks, CA is demonstrating its commitment to culture by hosting the world premiere screening of WebcamMurder.com, the first movie in the Film Sleepy genre, movies that put the audience to sleep.

WebcamMurder.com follows the foibles of people whose lives, and, sometimes their empty rooms, are on webcams round the clock. Explained auteur Sondra, “Movies that keep people awake are losing money. WebcamMurder.com points Hollywood moguls in the direction they need to go.”

When the world premiere audience’s mind wanders, they can rent a computer and surf the Internet, secure in the knowledge that nothing they need to know will happen before they finish answering their email.

Along with free admission, there is free parking behind the building. Food available for purchase includes tasty sandwiches and a WebcamMurder elixir concocted specially for this World Premiere event by the Grounded staff.

While there are no lounge chairs in the cafe itself, attendees who feel the need to lie down during the screening can stretch out sofas in the lobby.

Inventor of Film Sleepy and author of the Amazon Short "How to Make a Movie That Puts the Audience to Sleep" Sondra Lowell will be in attendance, along members of the cast, to answer questions about parts of the movie the audience sleep through.

Sondra‘s previous work includes “Sleep,” a live 8 hour one person show that both performer and audience slept through, and "At Home With Sondra," a show held over for six months by popular demand in her living room. She has written an Amazon Short ebook, "How to Make a Movie That Puts the Audience to Sleep: A Home Study Course."
